	The idea for Farhikhtegan-e-Shomal Cooperative Company was first perceived from the multi purpose cooperative of Sharif
University of Technology and endeavors to, by utilizatin of the scientific and technical abilities of academic experts, develop various university projects in the various fields of industry and research.
At present, cooperative like this are being set up by creditable universities all over the world to operate in the same way and to make knowledge function directly.
The institutes, graduates and academic faculty members of Shomal University can be shareholders in this cooperative. The successful presentation of the first national Urban GIS conference held 26 and 27 August 2007 at Shomal University was the first undertaking of this cooperative.

"The Way To Go" Maybe this is the best sentence that describes the necessary usage of powerful GIS tools and its application. Today if we do not use the multipurpose tools of GIS, tomorrow we will definitely have to make use of them.
